Emergency School Closure Information 

 

In the unlikely event that the school may need to consider closure due to severe weather or other

emergencies, we will use the school website and text service to keep parents/carers fully informed of the latest situation.

 

 Information will also be broadcast on the following radio stations:

 

BBC Radio Suffolk (104.6, 103.9, 95.9 and 95.5 FM)

HEART FM (97.1 and 96.4 FM)

Town 102 (102 FM)

 

Parents are asked to tune into these stations rather than phoning the school or Local Authority as phone lines may become jammed.

 If the school has to close early during the school day we will again use our text service to notify parents/carers and those without mobile access by telephone. Where the school has been unable to make contact with a parent/carer, the children will be kept at school until 3.15pm.

For this reason it is vital that the school has up to date primary, and secondary contacts for all children.  Change of details forms are available from reception.
