All children can start school in the September prior to their 5th birthday if this falls between 1st September and 31st August. To apply for a school place for an Early Years child starting school in September parents should contact Suffolk County Council to find out about admission arrangements. Click here for arrangements.

You can make an in-year application if your child needs to join a school outside of the normal admissions round - for example, if you move house and your child can no longer attend their current school. To move your child to Halifax Primary School  (from a different school) parents should contact Halifax to apply for a school place.
