COVID-19 Key Information

We are all trying to adjust to the changes these uncertain times are making to our lives and routines and children are no different.  In order to reassure them, it may be beneficial to set out a routine for the day.  We are not asking you to try and replicate a school day, as this is likely to put additional pressure on both the children and yourselves.  However, Mrs Walker, our SENDCo, has drafted a visual timetable for a daily routine that some of you may find useful or as a good starting point for creating your own.

Top Tips for Parents and Carers in Uncertain Times

Please find below a useful document, created by Triple P, of top tips to support parents and carers whilst children are at home.

How To Explain The Virus To Young Children

Useful Websites

Please find below some websites that you may find useful to support you and your child through this period of Home Learning.  As Halifax Primary School has not been able to check all of the content for each site, we would suggest that children use these sites under adult supervision.  We recognise that as a result of home learning, the children may be spending more time accessing online resources, therefore please spend some time with your child talking about online safety and reminding them of the importance of reporting anything that makes them feel comfortable.  There our helpful websites on our Online Safety page, just follow the link below.
